In Ubuntu 5.10 it stops at setting up primary installation repository... (at 25%) while installing without live internet

I am trying to install ubuntu 5.10 on pentium III machine with 256 MB RAM without any internet live connection. Problem is that 'at Configuring apt... screen it stops at 25%. A installation messgae on screen is 'Setting up primary installation repository...'. Kindly help.

Ubuntu 5.10 is very old and no longer supported, and is not available in the APT repositories. Please download the latest release of Ubuntu from http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download
