ENE Card Reader unresponive

Ubuntu 6.06 does not appear to be responding to my internal ENE Card Reader, even though it is recognized by device manager as:

ENE PCI Secure Digital Card Reader Controller

When I put an SD card into the reader, nothing happens. If I use my external card reader, the same SD card shows up on the desktop almost immediately.

I´m running edgy and my toshiba laptop´s ENE card reader is neither working. I would really appreciate if support for this cardreader (which is at least 2years old) was added.

It works with vanilla 2.6.17, but support for it is broken from 2.6.18-rc1 onwards. I've done the necessary work to get mine working (see bug 62995).

The kernel (2.6.15-23.39) on the 6.06 live CD works with this device, but that's probably just because the backported SDHCI support is sufficiently old.
