When Lucid's Final will be available in canonicals ppa?

Asked by HX_unbanned

It is been already ~ 12 hours after Lucid is released, but still, after:
"sudo update-manager -d" command in terminal I have got no Distribution Upgrade available ...

Is it OK and I need to wait a bit more or It is issue with Update Manager?

Which version of Ubuntu are you using? Are you behind any sort of restrictive firewall?

HX_unbanned,

The "-d" is NOT needed.

So long as you are using either 8.04 or 9.10 you should just have to run "sudo update-manager".

The -d is for Development, which Lucid is NO longer.

Good luck,
George

HX_unbanned,

If you are already using Lucid then this is NOT necessary!

IRC factoid:

!final
<ubottu> If you installed a Alpha/Beta/RC version of Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) and have been keeping it up to date, then you are already running the latest version of Lucid. To make sure, type « sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade » in a console.

hMMMM....

wEIRD - i STILL HAVE MANY GLTCHES, FOR EXAMPLE:
1. nO SOUND SETTING IS SAVED. aLL IS RESET TO DEFAULT AFTER REBOOT.
2. F-Spot still is pretty slow on Canon Cameras ...
3. GIMP Repo is freaking old ...

Also - packages like System Monitor and System Testing still has 2.28 versions ( but should be 2.30 as they are part of GNOME ) ....

So I doubt kinda of fact that I am running Final ...

HX_unbanned,

Running the command in terminal "lsb_release -d" should say "Ubuntu 10.04 LTS".

If it still says "Ubuntu lucid (development branch)" then it's NOT at final.

I would recommend you open new questions for your various issues.

Good luck,
George
