A keyboard that is being used under Windows will work perfectly well with Ubuntu, you just have to configure the language. This also applies to USB keyboards.

to make this clearer for you when you install or use the disk/usb-flash the first thing will be to select a language the second is to select the keyboard layout this will give you a place to try and type as well before you commit to your selection.

Hi :)

I managed to re-configure the "Windows key" (between Ctrl & Alt) to do something useful in one install of Ubuntu. 8.10 i think.

I am tempted to paint a penguin over the Windows logo, or perhaps the Ubuntu logo or perhaps a paw from Wolvix.

Regards from
Tom :)
