Toshiba Satellite- ACPI Insyde H2O BIOS incompatibility. Toshset Toshutils don't work

Specs: Toshiba Satellite. AMD Turion Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 Ubuntu 9.10 with new version of Grub. Insyde H2O BIOS.
Something to do with the BIOS. Laptop overheats because cpu fan isn't working. Toshset and toshutils don't work because Toshiba-acpi support isn't available. If I need to submit a bug report could explain how? Idk how to submit a but report.

No I don't. I don't know how to update them. Insyde does not provide updates and the Toshiba website does not provide them either.

Can you give the output of:

sudo lshw | head -n 30
