John,

If you are interested in the "development version" of Ubuntu, a good place to start would be the #ubuntu+1 IRC channel on Freenode.

You can always download and install the "development" version of Ubuntu, you don't need to be a member of any team to get access to the Alpha/Beta/RC releases of Ubuntu.

You happen to be showing interest just when Lucid (the current development version) is about to be released as final, on Thursday. So development for 10.04 is "almost" complete, but I'm sure 10.10 will be starting development soon.

Best of luck,
George

With any IRC client register on Freenode with username and password and then you can access any channel you want.

John,

Just an FYI, but #ubuntu+1 is closed until the tool chain is ready for 10.10, which I guess shouldn't be long.

Good luck,
George
