Hi:

You can use the CD's as many times as you want or need. Give us some more info on the other machine

Hello:
Thank you for considering my question. the following is more information on my 2 machines

the first machine was:

Intel Pentium III
256 MB RAM
13.5GB HDD
16 MB NVIDIA Graphics
(No Operating System)

the second machine was:

Intel Pentium 4
2.5 GB RAM
160 GB HDD
64 MB NVIDIA MX4000 Graphics
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate

I first installed it on the the Pentium III Machine. Then I wanted to try on another machine (which was machine #2) When I put in the CD, It booted to the point where the numbers and commands came out. then it just topped there. We thought it was normal, so we left it there for more than 30 minutes to seeif it would advance to loading the Ubuntu Desktop. But it didnt. we also did a CD Check which had no errors.

Any suggestions on what went wrong or how can it be fixed?
greatly appreciated!
thank you

I put the CD in the tray to boot. I chose to start ubuntu (first option) and then it had the Ubuntu Boot Screen. then it went in to command mode with commands and codes and then just stopped there. Normally it would then load into the Live CD Desktop. But it didnt! Please help me.. (I New to Ubuntu+Linux)

I think you found a bug, I can make a report, and see if someone finds a "cure". leave the question open, you never know, someone may had the same issue, I have looked in the forums and I found nothing...
well I have filled a bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/129809
someone may get to you for more information.
