Lucid Beta Bugs- Freezing

I am a beta 2 user. I facing a serious issue that sometimes my MSI Wind u100 netbook got hang. No function is working at all. Sometimes USB mouse will not work while touch pad is working well, But in most cases, if a freeze occurs, I have to remove the battery and restart the system. It is very much irritating job.

Another issue( may not be an issue) is that even I connect my reliance netconnect modem from booting time, it is getting recognized after 2 or 3 minutes of boot. I can see the USB is recognized if I open the computer folder. But when clicking on the network manager, it is not appearing there for two minutes. In earlier version (9.10) connection will be established along with booting. Now I have to wait two minutes after boot.

While installing Ubuntu, I didn't partitioned the drive. Is there any way that i can split into 2 or 3 drives as I have enough space of 160 GB?
