When I try to play a video cd with the Movie player it displays - "Could not open location; you might not have permission to open the file"

In VLC Media Player it displays - "File reading failed"

How can I solve this?

what player xine or totem ? do you have the gstreamer plugins loaded from the synaptic package manager?

Hi :)

There are problems with Medibuntu repos at the moment but in a couple of days try running through the Medibuntu worksheet and it should solve most of the multimedia problems for you
