wifi light acts weird

Asked by Arnold Niemann

Binary package hint: firefox

i have a compaq presario cq-60 215dx.
i upgraded my ubuntu os from 9.10 to 10.04 LTS beta 2. Libc6 package.
i have noticed my wifi light, the light that shows that my network connection is on used to stay orange in ubuntu 9.10. As i first started to use the 10.04 LTS, it actually went blue but often changes to orange... depending on wifi traffic, thus changing from orange to blue, back and forth. The internet connection still works but the light just acts funny every 5 mins or so. i thought id point this out so that maybe that can be fixed when the final version comes out.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.

Actually, the light is supposed to be blue. It's likely that the kernel is Karmic didn't have fully updated drivers for your hardware, but Lucid does.

Can you help with this problem?
