Why I can only see lines after the language prompt when installing ubuntu 9.10?

After the language prompt, all I can see is just lines on my screen. I tried to adjust the resolution, and still doing the same thing. I am trying to do a dual boot installation with windows 7.

I have an NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphic card a XFX Nforce 680i LT 1 motherboard

yep, I try to install it just using the CD, and it does the same thing. Try to adjust the resolution, and still doing the same thing

no, i mean boot windows 7 first, then install ubuntu from cd with setup option.

Just to confirm, you are getting error during setup installation when you try to install from cd with "boot from CD option", right ?

Fixed. Used safe mode for the installation and it worked fine. thanxs anyway!
