full support for ASUS K8S-MX mobo

Asked by SharekhaN

The ASUS-K8S motherboard support is wanting as new uses who port to linux have no clue to star off with . recompliling the kernel for the newer sis LAN driver available is not clearly an easy thing for users like me and apart from being left with a single pc it may prove difficult for us to get strated with ubuntu in the first place .

if this motherboard is oficially supported under the X64 cd it would be great .

I have ASUS K8S-MV/V MB and Ubuntu Dapper works fine with it.
Try!

I have an K8S-MX too.
The only thing not working is the SiS onboard LAN. Any ideas how to get it working. i'm prepared to compile my own kernel.
