failed to boot default entries

Ive installed ubuntu 9.10 it installed fine. now when i boot up the system it says Grub loading then a second later it says Error:no such device?

boot with the live CD and then open terminal Application>accessories>terminal
type sudo update-grub
if you still face problem then look for the system>help & support>grub
will give you detailed info on grub.
In worst case you may need to reinstall the Ubuntu.(because your ubuntu image is not getting detected by grub)
