How to upgrade to DAPPER DRAKE from BREEZE BADGER???

Hello...

It's me again...Now I've downloaded the Alternate Install CD and have already repaired the GRUB loader, so my linux Breeze Badger is functional again. My question is how am I able to upgrade to Dapper Drake with this Alternate Install CD??? Cos I was told it is possible to upgrade without getting lost the packages and programs installed on the previous version, but as I tried to do this, the instalator has ended the install session because of some problems during installation as I was not installing on clean drive (but on the drive where Breeze Badger was installed before and didn't format this drive to not loose any of things I downloaded, installed and set up that consumed much of my free time)...

It's probably much easier to upgrade to 6.06 using the Upgrade Manager.
