Updates

Asked by David_g

When trying to get updates I get the following error message:-

An unresolvable problem occurred while initialising the package information.

Please report this bug for the 'update-manager' package and try to include the following error message:

'E:Type ‘n’ is not known on line 2 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu-wine-ppa-karmic.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.'

Can you offer a solution?

Thank you,

David.

Please try running the following commands in a terminal to solve the issue:

sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu-wine-ppa-karmic.list

sudo aptitude update

sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

I've got a further problem, when I try updates I get the following message:-

GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net karmic Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 5A9A06AEF9CB8DB0

I think I've added the key correctly, please advise me what to do.

Thank you,

David.
