libdvdcss2 for lucid

Asked by nokangaroo

Just installed lucid from scratch on my iMac as it seems to work perfectly well on an external disk as an upgrade, but although I installed medibuntu there is no libdvdcss2 available. Will it become available, or is it possible to transfer it from a karmic install?

According to the package index, http://packages.medibuntu.org/lucid/index.html, libdvdcss2 is available for Lucid. Did you follow the instructions here to enable the repository: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu.

Yes, after an upgrade, you have to update the Medibuntu repository as it is not updated via an upgrade.

Thanks, Book'em Dano. Already downloaded libdvdcss directly from the medibuntu homepage and installed it with dpkg -i, and it seems to work.
