RhythmBox Music Player

Asked by eldergnome on 2010-03-28

When I try to use RhythmBox Music Player I get a request to search for the suitable plug in, to which I agree. It appears to be looking for a Windows Media Audio decoder, unsucessfully. If I hit cancel several times this search request goes away and all of the songs I have tried work fine. Is it possible some of the songs are not compatible? Are there any solutions for this issue? I certainly don't mind losing a few songs if I could see which ones were an issue. Of course I am a newbie, but a determined one, not going back to Windows, so know your help is greatly appreciated.

seems to be wma...especially windows media audio formats may not be playable without the plugin
Better let it play only mp3 songs...
