How works wireshark?

Asked by tashi

Hello, Linuxers,

I'd like to know some details on wireshark. For instance, I'd like to know why when I launch as root, it says to me that running it as "root" user (and group!) could be dangerous?

I'd like moreover to know something else: I do use a wireless network, and I'd like to know how to remove all the traffics printed which comes or goes towards my machine. Could someone explain me what I should do to have it?

Thanks to tell me more about it if ever you know how it works,
Bye!

Could someone tell me how works this program?

Maybe it's not very much used, but I'd like anyway to know at least how to select a certain source/destination please...

OK, looks like no-one sharply knows how it works, and so I should simply now find a documentation over the Internet by myself!
Good luck to everyone about your own troubles! ;)
