reboot for demo

Asked by stinkbait

when i reboot my system with the CD in the CD drive, my normal OS loads up as usual, instead of Ubuntu. The CD seems to have burned correctly considering that all of the disc features work properly. I run Windows XP home. the version i used was Ubuntu 6.06.1.

Yes i know this is probably a stupid question but regardless, i am in need of assistance.

You should check in your BIOS that "boot from CD" is enabled and has higher priority than "boot from hard disk".

I believe to access BIOS,you should start a boot up and hold down the DEL key, then you should see the BIOS menu.I'm a bit rusty on that but am probably right.Select "boot from cd first,HDD second and from memory the floppy will then be last.Good luck.Graeme.

Can you help with this problem?
