kdelibs5 wont update successfully (x86_64)

Asked by Lloyd Miller

update fails on fiesty for x86_64 for kdelibs5 and some of its depending updates fail too like kdelibs5-data. I tried many times and eventually just removed them to get rid of the pending update indicators. Im not sure why adept tried to install them in the first place. I am relatively new to ubuntu and I have been trying lots of stuff out.

This package contains all the shared libraries and common core binaries used by all KDE applications. You need these libraries and binaries to run KDE applications.
If you want help in solving this issue you have to report here the reason for the update failure.

kdelibs5 are the KDE libs for KDE 4 alpha.
kdelibs4c2a are the KDE libs for KDE 3.5.x which is installed by default.

KDE 4 alpha packages are currently only provided for applications developers which want to check if their programs still run under KDE 4 and adapt them to KDE 4 if necessary. They aren't meant for the common KDE user.

I suspect this is the correct answer to my question. Afraid I dont know what package I tried to get with this dependancy. It cleaned up fine with a couple "remove" operations. Thanks
