yes, you can using gparted.

i you don't find gparted in the Gnome menu then install it using Synaptic o execute in terminal mode
"sudo apt-get install gparted". (must have internet access)

After installing partition and installing Xubuntu .. edit ther GRUB menu and add windows to the boot option.
"sudo nano /boot/grub/menu.lst" also in terminal mode.

The instalation from the Xbubuntu CD have a manual partiton option.
If you want to partition a NTFS filesystem, first you have to install ntfs-3g.

Can you help with this problem?
