Failed to query NoScanout for screen 0.

The Nvidia drivers are not presenting any display configuration settings page...the following error is displayed

Unable to load X Server Display Configuration page:

Failed to query NoScanout for screen 0.

And I am using ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Linux kernel 2.6.32-generic with AMD Processor XP 2000+ and 748 MB RAM and nVidia 96.43.14 drivers are loaded.

Sam,
This problem is not coming with Kubuntu 10.04 ie KDE just by installing the kubuntu-desktop on the same machine, just change the session to KDE.
Only Desktop configuration settings page is not available otherwise system is working fine.
