default applications for Ubuntu

( CD version of Ubuntu )

i think ubuntu should have...

 2 CD install (default apps CD and extra apps CD )

OR

1 CD and 1/2 DVD (default app CD and default/extra apps DVD )

default applications that should be kept

* Firefox - web brower

* VLC - Media player (should be made a Default app)

* OpenOffice - Docs

* Gimp - Photo / picture / Image Manipulation

* Eye of GNOME - image viewer

* Rhythmbox - audio player (has MTP support - that works)

* Nautilus - File manager

* Gedit - text editor

* Brasero - CD / DVD Recording

* GNOME Terminal OR xterm - terminal

what can be Removed (from Default install)

Remove - Totem Movie Player

Remove - Evolution Mail

Remove - Tomboy Notes

? - Empathy im Client

? - gnome-sound-Recorder

? - bluetooth ?

? - ubuntu one

? - F-spot photo manager ?

? - Transmission BitTorrent client ?

because the developers are catering to the needs of general public and and left to general public what they want they can keep, rest they can remove...that is not a big thing.
Also all newbies will be searching the names of their required application so they must be keeping ....minimum general public requirement in the CD.

i have u-10,10 .disk . when i try to open i am informed that i am working offline but when i uncheck offline. i am still unable to log in. thanks, <email address hidden>

i use Ubuntu 10.04 LTS ...( long term support ) ...OR... Ubuntu 11.10 ...( current )
