I'd never heard of "Super OS" before, it appears to be a remastered version of Ubuntu 9.10 LiveCD.

You could try using "ubuntu" as user name with no password and see if that works, if not you'll have to try finding some support from SuperOS directly.

Best of luck,
George

Please could someone help me:-

I have downloaded Super OS 10.10 and burnt it to a DVD.

If I insert DVD in my reader/writer Synaptic Package Manager starts up

Q 1/ How do I check that files on DVD has no errors?

Q 2/ How do I install the Super OS 10.10 on to my Ubuntu 10.10 desktop?

Q 3/ Can I download Super OS directly to my computer and upgrade Ubuntu 10.10 ?

I have been given a link to Super OS http://hacktolive.org/wiki/Adding_the_Super_OS_repository, but a friend who told me about Ubuntu.

This ADDS lots of other stuff to Ubuntu 10.10, But I have so far been unable to add these to Ubuntu 10.10 see above question.

These additions are not supported by Ubuntu and also so far I have been unable to get help from hacktolive.org

As I am new to this and do not know must about Linux or the use of Terminal.

I have use Ubuntu since 9.04, 9.10 and now 10.10 which works must better for me.

I always had to use "Wxxxxws" at work Yuk....now retried I can use Ubuntu and it's GREAT....

Can you help with this problem?
