switch user not working

you could try going to System>Administration>Login Window and unchecking the
"restart xserver with each login"

Please tell me if it helps.

Try to check it instead - that helped me in a similar situation a few days ago

noop the problem is same again

Try opening New Login. Either type "New Login" into Alt +F2 or in terminal. Or you can just click on it by going to System Tools > New Login. (If it is not there check it in Main Menu so that it becomes visible.).

ya after clicking that option complete black screen comes with nothing ....and then not anything is working . I have to press reset to restart the PC .

Is this problem related to gutsy?

no buddy that was related to fiesty but now i have upgraded to GUSTY where it is working fine thanks for your support bbye

i'm on Karmic with ATI card and I have this issue too
