GnuCash in Danish, rest of system in English

I would like to use GnuCash in Danish but have the rest of my system remain in English.
Is there another way than compiling GnuCash with Danish language myself?

I just asked a friend of mine and he said to set the LANG and LANGUAGE environment variables to da_DK.UTF8, which worked, so now I'll open gnucash like this:

env LANG=da_DK.UTF8 LANGUAGE=da_DK.UTF8 gnucash
