No pppoe in point to point connection

Sir,
I am a Karmic user and i have a dsl Internet connection using pppoe. I used System>Administration>Network to configure it. then i took point-to-point connection and enabled the connection the tried to change connection type but there are no options in the drop down menu. I cant select pppoe from that. I cant connect internet from ubuntu.

Pls Help me sir

You can configure the PPoE connection using in a terminal the pppoeconf command (run as sudo). Follow the steps and your settings will trigger the connection on. After every reboot you have to run pon dsl-provider command (as sudo) to establish the connection. Even the connection will be on, Network Manager icon (on top left side of your screen) will be as you are not connected. At least this behavior is on my computer. I can live with this.
