How do I find the run section in ubuntu

Asked by kennethladams

I am trying to change the internet connections on my laptop and they are asking for the mac address. It states to run (i config) or something like this but I don't know how to get into run, where is it located at.

run it in a terminal

Applications -> accessories -> terminal

You will most likely find the command is ifconfig

(in caps would read IFCONFIG, linux uses (mainly) lower case so use the above, I gave this to clarify)

You will need to run ifconfig in a terminal. It is a console app.
