Can't get cd r/rw drives to work on 9.10

I have a Dell dim. 2400, I installed ubuntu recently and can't get the cd drives up and running. Are there any drivers avail. from linux or I'm I just doing something wrong?

You won't be needing any driver as you had used it earlier to install your Ubuntu operating system. Try to test it with the command below using your terminal, try ejecting it:

eject cdrom
