copy unbunto on floppy

I have Unbunto installed on one of my computer. I need to install on on laptop i have. THe laptop only has a floppy drive. (Laptop has no operating system.) Is there a way I can copy unbunto from the one the computer its installed on to floppy disks so It can be installed onto the laptop. THe computer that has unbunto installed on doesn't have the back up application.

You can't copy an Ubuntu to a floppy drive because of size limit but you can install it using USB flash drive using unetbootin utility.

http://www.unetbootin.sourceforge.net

or install it from terminal with:

sudo apt-get install unetbootin

Better still you could try using the Ubuntu Netbook Remix which might be far better for your laptop machine anyway

The UNR is made for machines that have usb slots (usually at the back or side of the machine) but have no Cd/dvd-drive.

I think it would be good to know what the 3 basic specs of the machine are. Please let us know the cpu speed, ram size and hard-drive space that Ubuntu should be able to use. It might be that a different distro might be better for this machine as Ubuntu can often be a bit tooo heavy for some machines as it mainly aims at top-end machines to give the latest Windows some decent competition. Don't worry if you don't know those 3 specs but please try to give us a clue about the machine.

Note that before installing ubuntu on a machine it is worth running a demo version
