Unable to open anything using ubuntu notebook remix

Installed Ubuntu Notebook remix, after reboot nothing will open for example when I try to open the game Mines it says "Failed to execute child process "/usr/games/ gnomine" (No such file or directory)".

How can this be fixed? Thank you!

Did you MD5 test the file you downloaded?
Did you run the verifier once you created the USB / CD with the image?
Have you got fully updated. You can check with:

sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Sorry this was the wrong disto for my laptop I miss read netbook for notebook and installed Ubuntu desktop and it was good except I can't get my wireless driver to work to connect to the internet.

Thats fine, you can run:

sudo lshw -C network

and it will show what wifi chip you are using. You can then find guides based on that output.
