window boxes gone

Upon upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04 Linux 2.6.32-15, all window boxes( minimize, maximize, quit) are gone. I wrote a bug report, #532328. I know this forum does not address problems with the generic under development, but I was wondering if there was anything I might do to recover this functionality. I also cannot move windows around.

it is called a window decorator.

Try pressing alt+f2 and running

metacity --replace

Should bring them back.
