cannot access shared folder through network

My shared folder of windows 98 pc cannot access from ubuntu 8.04 . Both systems are in same workgroup and when i trying to access the 98 pc through places ---->Network zero items are in the workgroup. But When i try it through command "smb:// systemname " it can able to access. What may be the reason for it . My samba is working properly and also I had configured network printer in ubuntu which was shared from 98 pc

In nautilus' address bar type:

smb://host/share

replace host with the win98 hostname
replace share with the share name of the folder you have shared.

Add the share to your nautilus left bar by dragging it for ease of access. I have never had any luck with the "network" part of the OS.
