i can't use my full screen resolution 1024*768.

 i can't use screen resolution 1024*768.i am using ubuntu 9.10 my motherboard is biostar g31,i am using onboard VGA .my monitor is "15" viewsonic.

Go to system -> Preferences -> Screen

I know but available only 800*600 & 640*480
