how can i use my 3g usb modem micromax

I am unable to connect to a broad band internet. This is very easy with Windows. i am using usb 3g modem hsdpa 3.6 mbps(micromax make modell no. 9603),please suggest how can i connect
i am using network CELLONE(bsnl) in india.

it must work perfectly .. i have the same =)

could u provide output from terminal with attached modem to computer

$ dmesg && lsusb

also, u can check possibility to connect to internet with 3G Modem clicking on Network Manager applet icon on tray

if u still have a problem, try update ur system with following repository

https://edge.launchpad.net/~network-manager/+archive/ppa
