I have a couple of old games that I'm trying to run under wiine that complain that they need 16-bit colour depth to run.

I don't know how to either have wine run them with 16-bit colour (or lie to them) nor do I see any way to change my nVidia desktop settings to a different colour depth as can be done in Windows.

Assuming I can't do it via Wine, how do I do it in Ubuntu?
