Installation failed. Installer crashed. Very desperate.

I see you have filed a bug report. The developers are currently flooded with bugs in the installer so you may have to keep an eye on your e-mail for a while. Please respond when a developer requests more information. Thanks :)

In the mean time, all I can is suggest you use the alternate install CD. Thank you for using Ubuntu.

Same happened here with me. I'm using the AMD64 Desktop installe disk. For me it only happened when I chose my own disk layout. With the automatic install option the install worked perfectly.

Can you help with this problem?
