firefox search box crashing

using ubuntu 10.4 beta 3 (?) and firefox 3.6, i entered "currencyshares etf" in the yahoo/google search box (next to the address bar) while visiting the default start page and firefox crashed and vanished...longer suggestions showed in a box below...

I am running lucid as well and have no problems. Please check that your computer is up to date, also lucid is for testing only and may still have bugs in it.

You can also add the mozilla ppa to install a later build, this may cure your issue.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade
