Brandy your "sudo password" is the password for your account. Do you enter a password when you log in? If so, "that" is your sudo password.
So in short: sudo password = your password

Please don't edit your original question. It makes it hard to follow.
Open a terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal). Then run: gedit /etc/apt/
A text editor will open. Copy and paste the file contents here.

OK, now run: gksu gedit /etc/apt/
Then scroll to the bottom of the file, delete the last two lines and save it. The last line in the file should be:
deb-src http://
Then check for updates again and you shouldn't get any error.
