Anyone find Launchpad website slow, sluggish to load

I usually come through to launchpad from links in my gmail, and it's usually to the bug's pages. I find no matter what speed connection I might be on (at home it's 3Mb, in work it's 12Mb), loading a launchpad page is far from instant. There is usually a 3 to 6 second delay in producing the page. Usually when the hostname is resolved, the page will load in a semi-reasonable amount of time. Generally moving about Launchpad can be a sluggish experience, even adding a comment can take it's time.

As I'm writing I just tried "bugs.launchpad.net" in Chrome, and I got a "waiting for bugs.launchpad.net" for around 6 seconds. Is it on a slow connection or is it just high traffic? I've noticed this for around the year I've been using Ubuntu.

Extra details: I am in Dublin, Ireland where (although speeds are rubbish) DSL is pretty stable and useable. In other words, I really don't think it's my connection.
