how to change default search engine

1) Do you mean the "Search" at the top right of Firefox? Just change it to what you want - Yahoo! It should stay.If Yahoo! isn't there, when you pull down the Menu it has "Manage Search Engines" which has "Get More Search Engines".

2) How do you change HomePage? Firefox>Edit>Preferences>General>HomePage (It's slightly different from WIndows)

no ! i mean go in about:config and set yahoo as default . it is going to be that way in ubuntu 10.04 so i want to find out it i am going to like it or not .

 I DID IT ! ! i been looking all day for help to do this i found this page that has a correction toward the bottom of the page but it works,,,
