Hi :)

If your machine is working without installing any extra drivers then don't bother installing them. Linux has enough drivers written into the kernel modules so you really shouldn't need to install extra ones for most things.

However, it is well worth working through the Medibuntu page to get almost all your multimedia working properly

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

Hi Tariodo :)

Please post your question as a separate question.

There may be different reasons causing the problem you are having so this forum needs people to start their own threads really.

I would offer the same initial advice of working through
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu
as this solves most multimedia problems or at least lays the ground-work for solving them. For sound problems i would then recommend working through this trouble-shooting guide
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
