Screensaver preferences General question...

Asked by Catty

I'm looking for screensaver setting that I can adjust or increase/decrease. Or add text to it. Just like M$ Windows screensaver that you can click "Setting" in screensaver panel to make changes how you like on screensaver. I did use it in past on SabayonLinux, Fedora Core, and few Distro. For example... 3D firework, I can select if I want exploding penguin, exploding text ect or just change the number of Firework exploding such like that. I can't find it in Synapic Package Manager!!! What do you call that file that I should download for it (to add "setting" button on Screensaver Preference). I've done that before in other distro that I added it from package download..

Thanks

Gnome desktop do not have configuration for Screensaver. I decided to install KDE 3.5 from Synapic Package Manager. After installation. I got into KDE (after logging off and changing session). I check Screensaver manager. BINGO!! Here it is! I also came across one of the blog related to screensaver adjustment. They said Gnome is over simplistic while KDE contains everything. So NOW I can play around Screensaver adjustment tho. I'm sticking with KDE tho.
