how can i sync my third generation ipod touch using rhythmbox?

need help. i tried to sync my new third generation ipod touch with rhythmbox but ubuntu recognises it as an ipod camera and opens f-spot photo manager instead. what can i do so that i can use rhythmbox. tried to install itunes using wine but can not install itunes. computer returns message that itunes can not be installed but it was able to install quicktime and bonjour. thank you

thanks for your help cameron w,

i tried to install virtualbox but i can not open it as described on the instructions. i can not see the virtualbox under system.

To install virtualbox, did you follow the directions here? https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VirtualBox/Installation

It should come up if it's installed. Or use Alt-F2 and type in "virtualbox-ose"

many thanks for your help cameron w,
i tried to restart my pc and after that was able to see thye virtualbox under applications => systems tools
was able to install windows xp and itunes but was not able to continue as my processor is too slow. will try it to different pc and will see. angain many thanks
