Lucid: unable to boot into Windows after upgrade

Asked by Rajinder Sandhu

my all windows OS are not booting after upgrade from Ununtu 2.6.32.7 to Ubuntu 2.6.32.12
after you click to windows 7 on boot menu it loads and hangs at GRUB
and when you click on Windows XP it hangs at PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT
any idea is welcome
Whereas after the upgrade these partions were showing errors so rectified the errors with the help of gparted and nowI can access and use the files located on both the windows partitions (NTFS) with ubuntu but unable to boot into windows.
Any Idea is welcome..
Thanks,
Rajinder Sandhu

Firstly, try a "grub --version" to know if you have Grub 0.97 or 1.97.
If you have, can you post the last lines of /boot/grub.menu.lst, which are related to windows.

Lucid is testing release, so I'd download daily build, reinstall and recreate partitions.
btw. Kernel 2.6.32.14 is out.

After playing with partitions maybe UUIDs changed, so verify correct UUIDs in sricpts of grub.d and fstab.
