Spam from Ubuntu Wiki Email Address?

Asked by John in SF

Since last weekend, I have been getting these emails from what appears to be the Ubuntu Wiki.

Has your site been hacked? If so, it might be worth notifying users of this forum. If another issues is opened for this, please let me know.

If your site has been hacked will it make a difference if I remove my name from this distribution. Or, I do just need to send all future correspondence to my spam folder?

The problem is the wiki is editable by anyone with a LP account.. So someone has created an account, and has decided to start filling the wiki with spam.. You can unsubscribe from the wiki home page if you like.. Or, when you get the emails with the spam, you can go to the wiki and revert it.
