Looks like a windows application. Linux isn't windows so using it may not be successful. I advise you use something else

If you need data recovery simply restore from your backups. No backup == data is disposable.

i am looking for undeleting deleted file... suppose i deleted all my stuffs on the pendrive by mistakingly hitting 'select all' and 'del'. just after hitting these keys, i realise my mistake.. so as long as i haven't written anything new on the pendrive, those files should be easily recoverable.. 'del' action only provide permission for other files to overwrite the deleted file, so as long as no new file is copied/written, deleted data should be in perfect shape... this tiny utility Recuva serves exactly this purpose without any added complexities.... so i was looking for similar product in ubuntu... anyway thanks for your reply, i guess for a time being i will just reboot my dual boot computer to windows and use Recuva...
