i don't see LXDE session in GDM

Asked by pavuk

i use ubuntu 8.04. i did "aptitude install lxde" from "deb http://people.linux.org.tw/~pcman/ubuntu/ ./". i got packages lxde-common_0.3.2.1-1~pcman1_all.deb, lxde_0.3.2.1-1~pcman1_all.deb, lxpanel_0.3.5.2-1~pcman1_i386.deb, lxsession_0.3.2-1~pcman1_i386.deb. it seems everything was done during the installation process according to "http://www.gnomefiles.org/app.php/LXSession". "/usr/bin/startlxde" ,"/usr/share/xsessions/LXDE.desktop", "/etc/xdg", resp "/etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/default" were created. i don't see LXDE session at startup after logout/reload.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs .
