Old operating system

If I download this operating system will I be able to go back to my old operating system if I dont like this one,or does it delete or overwrite it?

The CD is a live CD, so you can boot off of it and experiment (although things are a little slower). If you decide to install Ubuntu, you can choose to resize Windows and install a "dual boot" system so that you can switch between different OS's any time. So yes, you can still use your other OS.
