Miguel,

That would be me. :) Your offer for help is very intriguing. At the moment, the only infrastructure we have for doing this type of thing is the loco teams. Instead of having the www.ubuntu.com website translated into every language, we have loco teams who host their own version of the website translated and formatted for their users.

Spanish and a few other languages are interesting because we have several locos who serve groups with the same language. It seems somewhat wasteful to have every loco team translate the news.

Choosing the right solution needs some careful thought. I've spoken with Jono about it and we have decided to think and discuss it a bit more before making a final decission.

If you have some solutions, we'd love to hear them. Otherwise, the best we can come up with for now is to have you translate them onto your own site.

I think he was interested only in the /news section. I would also be interested in a solution for both spanish / french (to participate easily and encourage my loco teams participation).

For now the appropriate method of translating news is by way of local team sites (where you can have both local and international news). So, I'll close this ticket.

Can you help with this problem?
